Geography shouldn’t be a limiting factor in forecasting a child’s future.

All children deserve a quality education regardless of where they are born and raised. We seek to fill gaps, supplementing areas with limited, or no access to afterschool and early literacy programming and offer Original Six Foundation programs at no cost to students and families who access them. We are 100% funded through private donations and private grants which gives us the flexibility to work directly with schools to identify needs and collaborate with teachers to create the customized programs that meet them. Results are impressive. Not only do most students achieve greater academic success, the relationships formed in these early years combined with hands-on learning, integration into the business community, exposure to higher education—all of this is designed to work together to create brighter futures and a stronger, more community-centered workforce.

Original Six programs currently serve students in 12 South Carolina counties.

O6 Afterschool

Customized programming for students grades two through eight with an emphasis on homework completion, study habits, STEM activities, team games, and FUN.

My First Library

Participating kindergarten students choose ten books to build their own home library, thus helping to close the “summer slide.”

Special Projects

Working with corporate and community partners, we develop initiatives that elevate students with a focus on education, literacy and health.
