The Original Six is Hiring: O6 Afterschool Regional Lead
The Original Six Foundation is seeking a passionate, organized, and relationship-driven O6 Afterschool Regional Lead to support O6 Afterschool programs in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina.
Part-Time | 16 hours/week
Monday–Thursday | Primarily remote with daily regional travel
The Regional Lead will visit 4–5 O6 Afterschool sites throughout the school year, spending about four hours onsite each day. This role will support partner school coordinators and educators, monitor program quality, build relationships with school communities, and provide observations and recommendations to the O6 Program Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
• Visit and support assigned O6 Afterschool sites
• Build relationships with school leaders, educators, students, and families
• Monitor programming, attendance, and student engagement
• Provide regular updates and support recommendations to O6 leadership
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and trainings
• Capture student stories and program highlights
• Support special events, field trips, and career exploration opportunities
• Serve as an ambassador for the O6 mission
We’re looking for someone who:
• Has experience in education, youth development, nonprofit programming, or community engagement
• Is organized, dependable, and comfortable working independently
• Builds strong relationships and communicates effectively
• Is passionate about expanding opportunities for students in rural and underserved communities
• Has a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
A bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required based on experience.
About the O6: The Original Six Foundation provides free afterschool programming and educational opportunities for students in rural and underserved South Carolina communities. Through academic support, STEM, literacy, mentorship, career exploration, and hands-on experiences, O6 helps students see opportunities beyond their own communities.
